Big Mouth Downspout Funnel System
One of our most effective alternatives to gutter guards is our Big Mouth Downspout Funnel System
There are three parts to this system:
The first part is the Big Mouth Funnel :
This oversized funnel sits at the gutter outlet and directs water into the downspout while catching larger debris such as leaves and pine needles before they enter the downspout. The top of the funnel is 6 inches wide and the bottom is 4 Inches and is inserted into the 4 x 3 inch downspout.The wide mouth of the Funnel enables large amounts of leaves , pine needles enter the downspout without clogging it at the top.
The Second Part is the 4 x 3 inch Downspout (pictured below on right)
The Big Mouth Funnel is placed inside the 4 x 3 Inch downspout which helps the debris run down the downspout into the third element in the Big Mouth Funnel system. The Cleanout.
The Third part of the Big Mouth Funnel System is the Clean Out
This is placed at the Bottom of the downspout when the Downspouts drain into the ground at around ground level ( not needed if the downspouts drain onto the ground)
The debris that enters thru the large Funnel drains into the downspout and lands on the screen where it can easily be removed. Thus reducing the need to get on a ladder to clean the gutters.
